OWNING OUR PLANTATIONS
At Forever Living it is often said “anything less than the best will never do,” and we believe that there is no better place to begin setting the bar for the highest standards in the industry than right where it all begins, the Aloe plantation. Aloe Vera gel is the primary ingredient in many of our phenomenal products and we take great care in making sure that we harvest only the best. In order to maintain complete quality control over our Aloe, Forever Living owns and controls 100% of its Aloe plantation in the Rio Grande Valley of southern Texas and 100% of its 6,500-acre plantation in the Dominican Republic—the largest in the world. By controlling 100% of our plantations we control the planting season, plant selection, methods of fertilization and weed control, seasons of harvest, processing, storage and delivery. Most importantly, it means that when processed Aloe Vera gel arrives at our manufacturing facility there is absolutely no question – what-so-ever – as to the quality of the source. At Forever Living we always know that we’re using the best Aloe Vera on the planet for our amazing products. Why? Because we grew it ourselves!

From planting to tending to harvesting, our Aloe plants are carefully nurtured with the same level of care and standards that we put into to every one of our final products. Our farmers harvest our Aloe by hand, treating it with great care. The leaves are processed within hours, so you get the purest, freshest Aloe Vera gel intact with all its inherent qualities.

When it comes to harvesting and processing Aloe, our scientific leadership is devoted to ensuring that we have the freshest, most potent product available. The way we see it, nature has given us a wonderful gift in Aloe, and our scientists are focused upon developing its full potential. With that in mind, our special harvesting and patented stabilization processes are constantly evolving in order to ensure that we preserve Aloe in its freshest form and maintain the maximum benefits possible. To this day we maintain hand planting, harvesting and processing techniques in order to preserve the deepest levels of quality control – just as we use goats and sheep for weed control and natural fertilizer. For this reason, Forever maintains 100% control of its Aloe plantations because we can rest assured that from planting to tending to harvesting our Aloe plants have been carefully nurtured with the same level of care and standards that we put into to every one of our final products.
PROCESSING THE BEST
When it comes to the examination and processing of our naturally farmed Aloe, nothing beats hands on quality control. Like vigilant chefs in our kitchen, only the best of ingredients make it to the table. Our state of the art facility allows us to seal in the freshness within hours of harvest so the purest Aloe can be shipped to our product labs without losing any of its powerful properties!

SEALING IN THE FRESHNESS
Raw materials can vary up to 500% based on method of harvest, climate, season and storage conditions. To minimize variations and to ensure the quality of our Aloe, the leaves are processed and packed for shipping to our manufacturing facilities within hours of harvest in order to ensure that you get the purest, freshest Aloe Vera gel as it was intended, intact with all its inherent qualities.

With all the effort that Forever Living Products puts into cultivating the finest Aloe product in the world we as equally dedicated to providing fast and efficient, controlled shipping. The Puerto Plato port facility allows us to move processed and sealed Aloe stateside in a unobstructed and controlled environment so our harvested Aloe makes it to our product labs and manufacturing facilities in pristine form.
A POSITIVE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT
Unlike other companies that brag about environmental responsibility and minimal eco-adjustments in order keep up with environmental trends, Forever continually assesses its own practices to effectively better ourselves on a regular basis. We don’t do it because it’s trendy. We do it because we believe it’s the right thing to do. We sought out certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) – an independent organization that evaluates companies’ environmental impact — and in 2006, we launched a formal environmental sustainability program to challenge ourselves to do even more. Our documented Environmental Management System was certified to the international ISO 14000 standard and we have maintained that certification every year since! Naturally, Forever Living is already off to a good start with more than 50 million Aloe Vera plants growing in both our Dominican Republic and Texas plantations. Do the math! When it comes to converting CO2 to oxygen, 20 aloe plants are able to convert the same amount of CO2 into oxygen as one tree. So, by Aloe alone, Forever Living is already cleansing the Earth of hundreds of millions of tons of CO2 every year! We are incredibly proud to know that Forever’s net carbon footprint has a positive effect on our environment.
